Bus Transfers To and From Auckland Airport

Auckland Airport provides an efficient and extensive bus network to connect all travelers with Auckland City Center and the surrounding areas. The buses that operate from the airport include SkyBus, 380 Airporter Bus, and bus route 31.

SkyBus: Auckland Airport to the City Center

SkyBus is the main transfer service to Auckland City Center and to the North Harbour from Auckland Airport.

The bus service operates 365 days a year. Buses operate 24/7 from the International Terminal, whilst in the Domestic Terminal from 06:00 am to 01:45 am.

• From 04:45 am to 07:00 am: every 15 minutes
• From 07:00 am to 07:00 pm: every 10 minutes
• From 07:00 pm to 11:45 pm: every 15 minutes
• From 11:45 pm to 04:45 am: every 30 minutes

At Auckland Airport, the SkyBus stops outside the Transports Hub building at both the International and the Domestic terminals.

Auckland City Express

• Adult ticket one way: $17
• The journey takes approximately 40-50 mins. Passengers should expect longer travel times during peak hours.

North Harbour Express

• Adult ticket one way: $24
• Stops at Akoranga, Smales Farm and Westfield Albany
• The journey takes approximately 50-55 mins. Passengers should expect longer travel times during peak hours.

Purchasing Bus Tickets

Tickets can be bought at the airport ticket kiosks at both the International and Domestic bus stops. The SkyBus also accepts AT HOP cards.

380 Airporter Bus
The 380 Airporter Bus operates between Onehunga, Mangere Town Centre, and Manukau, via Papatoetoe and Onehunga Train Stations.

The bus operates every 15 to 20 minutes during the day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Travel time is about 36 minutes to Manukau and 32 minutes to Onehunga.

The 380 Airporter Bus stops at bus stops located outside both the domestic and international terminals at Auckland Airport.

Ticket purchase

From Manukau/Onehunga to Auckland Airport, a one-way ticket cost $1.95 with an AT HOP card. Without an AT HOP card, the price is $3.50.

You can buy your ticket from the bus driver or use your AT HOP card.

Route 31

The bus route 31 is a frequent bus service that operates between Botany Town Centre and Mangere Town Centre via the Papatoetoe Train Station. Furthermore, the bus runs via Otara Interchange (MIT campus), Hunters Corner and Papatoetoe Train Station (on Shirley Rd opposite the station).

You can take the route 31 bus to connect to the 380 Airporter service at Papatoetoe Train Station (on Shirley Rd next to the station) or Mangere Town Centre.

The bus service operates every 15 minutes from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, 7 days a week. Outside of these hours, the bus runs every 30 minutes.

Ticket purchase

An adult, one-way ticket costs $3.15 with AT HOP card, and without AT HOP card, the cost is $5.50.

Tickets can be bought from the bus driver or you can use your AT HOP card.

AT HOP Card Fares

You can use AT HOP card to ride all trains, ferries, and buses in Auckland.

The total purchase of an AT HOP card is $10.

You can buy the card online or at the AT Customer Service Center, ticket office or AT HOP retailer, located in any public transport station or terminal.

By using AT HOP, you can save up to 25% on normal ticket cost.

There will be several hotels and resorts, which offer a shuttle bus service at your disposal to get you to and from Auckland Airport.
